Carlingford Waterfalls
25 February 2016
There is this small yet beautiful waterfalls that I have seen popping up on social media from times to times that I have wanted to go and see, take a few shots, for a while now. It is not too far from where I live. More finding myself thinking about it on the right day and just going for it.
And today, the stars must have aligned, as I talk to my flatmate Pat about it, and we decide to go there for a couple of hours and see what it has to offer.
Today is a very hot day, with temperature supposed to reach the high 30s. I guess finding ourselves next to some running water has some appeal!
We find the spot very easily, alas it is a bit dry, and what is supposed to be a wall of water gushing down this gully is no more than a little fall. It still has its charm, and we spend quite a while chasing the perfect shot of a dragonfly, as there are legions and they are not really shy.
The waterfall itself is quite nice, and I will be back after some descent rain to portrait it in all its glory!
Here is the full album
