A friend of mine got me a gig for Young Henrys, a promotional shoot of the launch of their new venture, after brewing beer for a while, and becoming a name often quoted by beers lovers, Young Henrys is launching a Gin. Called Noble Cut.

I had no idea what I was saying yes to. I was expecting a one venue event, with gin everywhere, branding, you know, your common launch event. I thought about driving there. Well… I am glad I didn’t. What the crazy minds behind this new nectar had in mind was quite different. It would be a pub crawl, ordering a Gin based cocktail in as many venue launching the Gin as possible. All the Young Henrys crew would split up, covering different venues, and reconvene at the Royal Albert at 10pm, to share their experience and finish the night (or rather, finish off themselves, for those still sober enough).

And so that is what we did. Starting fresh and clear minded, full of excitement at a pub near their headquarters, and slowly, as the night fell, becoming a bit messier, a bit less eloquent, as we made our way from bars to bars. Trying different cocktails along the way.

A nice night out, a nice, very nice new gin…
